I've been away from deviantart for a while, doing stuff. Here is something I have been doing: writing sci fi stories, initially to help out Danny, but now just because I can.

Beached has been published on the awesome Kasma SF magazine and can be read here: [link]

I've also helped set up a new writing group, become the president of my local WI (I'm not an old lady in case you don't know me personally. I'm only 27! Quite possibly one of the youngest WI presidents in the country.), I planted a totally awesome garden and allotment which are both currently pretty with colour and literally full of beans, I helped plant an orchard, got a non-fiction article published in a magazine,  plus other stuff.

I've done no drawing for a LONG time. But we were down the two brewers t'other day and gots to talking about starting a small life drawing class, so maybe I'll get back into it soon.

Until then,

Hey there, I just wanted to say I will get to those pieces you linked me. It was critique week at Writer's Workshop so I was swamped for a bit there. :huggle:

No worries.
I seem to be very busy at the moment too, so my reading time has been non-existent. Also a bout of writers block means I'm sort of hanging around doing non-writing related stuff. I also plan to read some of the new stuff you've posted up. I hope to find some time soon. x

I say William Shakespeare had the right idea, put your passion in a poem that she won't hear.

thanks for the comments : ) I enjoyed Saturn's return. Also I am glad I am not the only person who likes turkish delight, i am often ostracised for admitting such a freakish appetite.

hey dude! im still homeless, hence my lack of contact as of late, but move in date for the new citadel is 1st of sept (fingers crossed it doesnt fall through)

orchard wise, i have actually done quite a few pages in pencil, so the ball is rolling, but im cutting my hours at work after i move in so i can concentrate more on the art side of life

hows things?

That is a long homeless stretch; you must smell something rotten by now and have a beard to rival simon's. Sounds good.
Simon is moving into his mum's garage soon, since he is also homeless, smells and has an unkempt beard. He has two days until he is officially homeless however, so the smell and the beard are rather inconsequential.
I'm impressed that you've been able to do a few pencil pages on the orchard :)
life for me is fine and good. Lots of writing, slightly less drawing, lots of reading and plenty of outdoors things.
Well there's a cake in the oven that needs my attention, so i better sign off now. I hope your house arrangements go well, and so on.
